Frequently Asked Questions

  • Meetings are generally held on the second and fourth Thursday of every month in the Village Hall at 7:00pm.

  • You must have a permit if you plan to use a swimming pool.  The cost is $30.00 annually if you are a water customer within the village.  The cost is $36.00 annually if you are a water customer outside of the village.  Please contact Village Hall to get this added to your water bill.

  • Yes. You must get a permit if you are using any type of sprinkler that is automated. Check the Water and Sewer section of our website for more details on this.

  • No. Windows, siding, and roof repair/replacement do not require a Zoning Certificate. It is when you change the existing footprint of your home, such as adding a room, porch or deck, that you will need a Zoning Certificate.

  • Yes. You must purchase a zoning certificate and have approval before placing a small shed or garage on your property. Additionally, you can NOT build or place these items in the front yard. Per Article 5, Section 503.5, an accessory building or accessory structure shall be located only in the rear yard (and a Zoning Certificate is required). Setbacks in all districts are 6 feet from the rear lot line and 3 feet from any side lot line.
