ABOUT US
The Village of Tuscarawas is located in southern Tuscarawas County, Ohio, about eight miles south of New Philadelphia on State Route 416.
We have two churches and several businesses including restaurants, barber shops, car detailing, and a gas station/convenience store. A branch of the Tuscarawas County library is also located on Main Avenue.
For recreation, the Village of Tuscarawas (also referred to by many as “Tusky”) has a park with a shelter house, playgrounds, a basketball court, and several ball fields. The Ohio & Erie Canal Lock 15 is located on the south end of the village and is a nice spot for a picnic. The Snyder’s Landing boat ramp is a wonderful place to easily launch your boat into the historic Tuscarawas River.
According to the last census, about 934 people call the Village of Tuscarawas “home.” Although we are small, we have our own Police Department and the Warwick Township Volunteer Fire Department is located in the village. It is also home to the Indian Valley Middle School.
The Village of Tuscarawas is a great place to live and raise a family.
Again, we welcome you to our village!
