ORDINANCE NO. 2023-27
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE VILLAGE OF TUSCARAWAS, OHIO, INCOME TAX ORDINANCE (ORDINANCE NO. 23-1094) SECTIONS 2, 3, 5, 18 AND 27, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
WHEREAS, the Village of Tuscarawas recognizes the need to comply with Ohio House Bill 33 which made several changes to Ohio municipal income tax;
WHEREAS, this emergency measure is necessary to protect the health, safety and welfare of the community.
THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the Village of Tuscarawas, as follows;
SECTION 1.
This Ordinance amends Ordinance 23-1094 of the Village of Tuscarawas as to Section 2, Section 5 with regard to Age Exemptions.
SECTION 2.
This Ordinance amends Ordinance 23-1094 of the Village of Tuscarawas as to Section 3 with regard to Net Profit Allocation for Businesses.
SECTION 3.
This Ordinance amends Ordinance 23-1094 of the Village of Tuscarawas as to Section 5 with regard to Net Profit Filing Extension Due Date and Correspondence.
SECTION 4.
This Ordinance amends Ordinance 23-1094 of the Village of Tuscarawas as to Section 18 with regard to Late Filing Penalties.
SECTION 5.
This Ordinance amends Ordinance 23-1094 of the Village of Tuscarawas as to the addition of Section 27 (Election to be Subject to R.C. 718.80 to 718.95).
SECTION 6.
The attached amendments of aforementioned Sections are incorporated herein as if fully re-written and are intended to amend said Sections of Ordinance 23-1094 of the Village of Tuscarawas, Ohio, previously adopted by this Council.
SECTION 7.
It is found and determined that all actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this Ordinance were adopted in an open meeting of the Council and that all deliberations of this Council and any of its committees that resulted in such formal actions took place in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all legal requirements.
SECTION 8.
This Ordinance is deemed to be an emergency measure to protect the health, safety and welfare of the residents of the Village of Tuscarawas, Ohio, and shall go into full force and effect on the first day after its passage by Council as an emergency measure.
